Prior to participating, all team directors, mentors, and competitors should have a good understanding of the rules and procedures outlined in the official StellarXplorers Rules Book PDF below.

​If you are a returning participant, please be aware of the new changes for the current competition season (addressed on page 3):
  • Practice rounds have been extended by one day, to include Wednesday.
  • STK installation must include the Planetary Data Supplement.
  • School closures have been added as an acceptable reason to compete during an alternate competition period
  • Examples of Information Sharing Violations have been updated to include guidance around the Discord server.
  • Use of AI tools and resources is strictly prohibited during the competition.
  • Active electronic communication using platforms such as email, blogs, forums, and social media is prohibited during the competition.
  • Clarification of Information Sharing between teams within the same organization (school, squadron, unit, etc.) outside of the competition window.
  • Clarification of Allowable Resources that teams may only use standard (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage, square root, and memory) functions of calculators.
